06/02/08 Support Teachers

Education Queensland has a discussion paper on the redevelopment of the role of the Support Teacher from 2009 involving the removal of the Appraisement Process.
The paper is long and very teacher oriented but there are questions posed at the end that are worth responding to and feedback is requested by 29th February 2008.
I believe that this planned reorganisation will not improve the situation for students with dyslexia and may even be more detrimental than the present one.
Please read and respond if you feel you are able to, with your personal experiences of how the system has treated your child. This is an EQ document but history shows that the private and Catholic sectors ultimately follow the EQ lead.
